This 90-minute webinar provided frontline practitioners with foundational knowledge and skills to support Canadians who are living on a low income to access benefits. Participants learned the importance of access to benefits for individuals and families, reviewed key skills and opportunities for starting benefits conversations, and practiced using the Benefits Wayfinder tool to become familiar with its functionality.

During this webinar participants learned to:

  • Recognize the importance of access to benefits for Canadians living on low income.
  • Identify how they can support Canadians living on low income to access benefits they are entitled to.
  • Use the Benefits Wayfinder in conversations using an effective strategy tailored to the individual they are working with.
