Guiding Your Journey: A Toolkit for Lump Sum Payments

You need to login or register to bookmark/favorite this content.

This collection of financial empowerment tools and resources is intended to support both Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations working to help Indigenous Peoples navigate the receipt of a lump sum payment.

It was created as part of the Expanding investor education and protection for financially vulnerable Canadians project (2024-2027) during which Prosper Canada, in partnership with AFOA Canada, will create resources to help Indigenous Peoples plan for a one-time windfall payment. A key focus of this project is consumer protection.

Available in both English and in French (where available) this toolkit is divided into 4 sections:

  1. Financial Education
  2. Tools and resources for lump sum payments
  3. Tools for consumer protection
  4. Research, reports, guides

We are grateful to project partner AFOA Canada for their contribution to this resource.

This toolkit has been made possible with the support of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO).
